I'm James Cliburn, a physicist and computer scientist by education and profession, and I maintain the Atheros/Attansic atl1 and atl2 Ethernet device drivers in the Linux kernel. (These are lumped together into the "atlx" driver set.)
I'm also a birder and amateur photographer by hobby. The confluence of these latter pursuits provides no end of challenge and fascination for me.
